Block paving has endless design options for a new driveway, with various colours, textures, and patterns available. Popular patterns for a new block paving driveway include herringbone, stretcher bond, and basket weave, while we can also add octant and circular patterns within each design.

Proper foundations and drainage are essential when installing a new driveway, otherwise, it may not handle surface water in line with planning regulations. We ensure that the base and sub-base are strong, level, and properly compacted for a stable and durable driveway without any risk of subsidence.
Here’s an overview of our expert driveway installation process:
Excavation
We start by digging out the area to the correct depth and disposing of any soil before installing the necessary drainage system.
Edge Course
An edge restraint is laid on a sturdy concrete foundation around the driveway perimeter.
Lining the Base
We lay a thick geotextile membrane on the soil base to prevent the sub-base from mixing with the underlying layers, which also helps prevent weed growth.
Sub Base
We supply and lay a suitable hardcore that gives a solid base for the new driveway.
Laying the Course
We spread, level, and compact laying course sand and scree to the correct level.
Block Laying
We lay the block paving in the colour and pattern of your choice
Cut and Fill
We measure and cut the final blocks to the correct size and fill in the joint.
Jointing and Compaction
We spread kiln-dried jointing sand across the block paving surface, sweeping it into the joints before compacting it with a wacker plate.
Completion
Once we sweep away excess jointing sand your new driveway is finished and ready to use!
